Los Angeles—Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP is pleased to announce that Ryan D. Nowicki has joined the Firm as Of Counsel in the Taxation and Trusts & Estates Groups. Previously of Kopple, Klinger & Elbaz, Nowicki’s practice concentrates on domestic and international income tax planning, tax controversies, and business structuring and transactions.
“Ryan’s experience in tax planning and business issues will be a tremendous asset to our clients,” said Burton Mitchell, chair of JMBM’s Taxation and Trusts & Estates Groups. “We are excited to have him as part of our practice.”
Nowicki joins JMBM after serving as a Legislation Counsel Extern for the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation on Capitol Hill, practicing at a large international Washington, D.C. law firm, and practicing with a top Los Angeles entertainment law firm.

Nowicki received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University. He received his B.A. from SUNY Buffalo. Nowicki was also recently named the 2017 “Man of the Year” by the City of Hermosa Beach for his civic work with local community organizations.
