JMBM Hosts Andrea Sheridan Ordin for Lunch and Discussion

Los Angeles–On Tuesday, November 13, JMBM’s Diversity & Inclusion Initiative and the Women Attorneys of JMBM hosted a lunch with Andrea Sheridan Ordin, who was recently appointed as the Special Master/Independent Monitor overseeing conditions for children held in immigration custody.

The discussion highlighted Ordin’s distinguished career both in the private and public sector, including her experiences in the legal industry as it has become more inclusive of a range of races, genders and backgrounds.

Ordin’s numerous accomplishments include her appointment by President Jimmy Carter as the first female U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, the third female to hold the position nationwide.
