LOS ANGELES—Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP (JMBM) is pleased to announce that Sheri Bonstelle, a partner in its Government, Land Use, Environment and Energy (GLUEE) Department, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, effective May 1, 2015.
Bonstelle has been involved in Lambda Legal since 2007. She has been the Co-chair of the organization’s West Coast Liberty Awards and a member of its National Leadership Council.
“Lambda Legal has been effective in achieving critical victories in the LGBT community’s fight for equality,” said Bonstelle. “I am honored to serve on the Board of an organization that has touched the lives of so many individuals and their families.”
Bonstelle’s legal practice focuses on land use, zoning, environmental, litigation and construction matters. Projects she has worked on range from the adaptive reuse of an historic office building as a luxury boutique hotel, to a 7-acre mixed-use project with over 1,000 apartment units and affordable housing in the center of Hollywood. She is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law (J.D.), and Columbia University (M. Arch., and B.A.).
“Sheri is a skilled litigator and a tireless advocate for her clients, and Lambda Legal is lucky to have her on their team,” said Benjamin M. Reznik, Chair of JMBM’s GLUEE Department. “We are pleased to support Lambda Legal in its important civil rights work.”
