Real Estate Finance Attorney Joins National Mortgage Lending Organization

LOS ANGELES–Guy Maisnik, Vice Chairman of the Global Hospitality Group at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP, has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a national organization of attorneys experienced in the preparation of real estate mortgages, restructuring, lending transactions secured by real estate, and related practice.

Maisnik is recognized for his experience in buying, selling, financing, recapitalizing and strategizing hotel transactions for owners, investors and lenders in the United States and across the globe. His clients include both individuals and large companies, such as Disney, HSBC, Berkadia and Canyon Capital. Maisnik helps run the Firm’s hospitality practice, coordinating Firm resources and carrying out problem-solving strategies and programs.

The College was founded in 1974 to reform laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions and to raise the level of professional responsibility of lawyers practicing in this area.

Fellowship in ACMA is by nomination by current Fellows only. ACMA’s members include private practitioners as well as in-house and government lawyers and prominent members of the academic community.

Maisnik received a J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1984 and a B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara in 1980.
