Los Angeles Land Use and Environmental Attorney Daniel Freedman Appointed ABA Section Vice Chair

Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP (JMBM) is pleased to announce that Daniel Freedman, an attorney in the Firm’s Government, Land Use, Environment and Energy (GLUEE) Department, has been appointed the 2015-2016 Programs Vice Chair of the Government and Private Sector Innovation Committee for the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources.

“I look forward to contributing to this Section of the ABA as Programs Vice Chair,” said Freedman. “This is a great opportunity to bring valuable information and content to ABA members and to strengthen outreach to the business communities we work in.”

As Programs Vice Chair, Freedman will develop programs on current topics for ABA members on the national, state and local levels and work with other Section committees to create additional educational opportunities.

Freedman’s practice is focused on real estate development, zoning, project entitlements, CEQA, NEPA, federal and state environmental law, and governmental advocacy. He has worked on major projects across Southern California, including traditional and mixed-use commercial, residential, and industrial developments, as well as projects involving renewable energy, high-speed rail, billboard siting, mining, and government contracting.
