About JMBM’s Prevailing Wage Group
Prevailing wage laws require that union wages be paid to workers on publicly-funded construction projects. In recent years, however, these laws have been dramatically expanded to cover many private construction projects. This can cost developers millions of dollars in unexpected labor costs—sometimes years after the project is complete. The lawyers of JMBM’s Prevailing Wage Group help our clients understand this potential exposure, structure projects to minimize liability, and successfully defend against enforcement actions and worker lawsuits.
